BetAtlas.com recognizes that online security is of vital importance to all of our Members and when using all of our products and services, it is important to us that you feel 100% secure.

Windows XP users
Microsoft has just introduced a new service pack (SP2) for Windows XP. One of the new features of the service pack is an Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker, which should make browsing the Internet more enjoyable. Unfortunately, this may result in you experiencing problems while using the BetAtlas.com website.

Using Pop-up Blocker
When you install SP2, Pop-up Blocker is activated in Internet Explorer and set to the medium setting, which means it will block most automatic pop-ups. The default settings for the Pop-up Blocker allows you to see pop-ups that are opened when you click a link or button on a Web site. Pop-up Blocker will also play a sound and show the Information Bar when a pop-up is blocked. You can adjust these settings so that Pop-up Blocker works the way you want it to.
To change Pop-up Blocker settings
Open Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker and then click Pop-up Blocker
  Settings.
In order for you to use the BetAtlas.com website, you must select the Medium setting.
For more information on how to adjust the security settings, please visit www.microsoft.com.
Tip: To temporarily allow a site to display pop-ups, click the Information Bar when it notifies you that a pop-up has been blocked. Then click “Temporarily Allow Pop-ups".

Encryption
A key area of online security is encryption, using the SSL mechanism. This means that information you provide to us is encrypted so that it cannot be read across the Internet. 128-bit SSL Encryption is used on all pages of our payment system.

Firewalls
Another key measure of online security is the Firewall. This sits between the BetAtlas.com Web server and the Internet, providing further protection against non-authorized access. Access to the server is strictly controlled by the firewall, ensuring maximum protection for the website.

The Lock Symbol
Each screen within the secure areas of the website will include the Lock Symbol in the bottom right-hand side of the page, indicating that you are in a secure area and that any information you transmit is encrypted.

Added Security
If you are logged into your account for some time without using it, the system will automatically log you out for security reasons.

Credit Card Verification
Once we receive your Credit Card details, we carry out a check of your Card with our Credit Card Processing Department. This ensures that the number you entered actually corresponds to a real credit card number and is not fictitious.

We also do random security checks on a continuous basis to ensure that no fraudulent use is being executed against Credit Cards that are used to purchase our services. This verification of your details is carried out over a secure line to the bank. Credit Card data is neither, at any time, sent over the Internet during the validation process, nor does the bank give out any details to us over the phone. We simply state what information we have and they will let us know if it is correct or not.

Incorrect details associated with your card will result in your account being suspended for security reasons.
